On March 26, 2024, it was officially recognized by Guinness World Records® as the “longest-running outdoor sculpture competition.” Award-winning works, along with entries from past exhibitions, now adorn the city and serve as valuable cultural resources utilized in education, tourism, and various other fields. The “Ube Sculpture Triennale 2027” will be held at the Sculpture Hill in Tokiwa Park, showcasing 15 outdoor sculptures and 30 selected models. After the exhibition, the Grand Prize (Ube City Prize) and the UBE Corporation Prize-winning works will be permanently installed in public spaces within the city.
